"The use of digital technologies optimizes process flows in building management and enables buildings to be operated in a more energy-efficient, resource-conserving and sustainable manner. This is particularly relevant for the energy transition, as around 35% of Germany's energy consumption occurs in buildings," said Daniela Schmitt, Minister of Economics. "Furthermore, with the help of data-driven control, failures and error frequencies can also be reduced. With the application to be developed by the company ICONAG-Leittechnik GmbH, the framework conditions and possibilities for efficient energy management will be significantly improved," emphasized Minister of Economics Schmitt on the occasion of the handover of the funding decision in the amount of 500,000 euros.
Within the scope of the innovation project, we plan to develop an open data hub for the automation and measurement systems within the buildings. The digital solution is to support the individual information and functional requirements of a wide range of employees and systems in building management. The ability to spatially and factually link the data points to the building or real estate portfolio implements a forward-looking concept that takes into account important building blocks of IT security and enables reliable and energy-efficient digitalized building management. Our project is specialized in non-residential buildings, so that especially office buildings, data centers, logistics centers, shopping malls, schools and educational institutions, hospitals, hotels and exhibition sites can benefit from the innovative application.
The innovative and qualified high-quality services of our company have already been awarded with the Innovation Award Rhineland-Palatinate.
»We are pleased and proud that our high innovative strength is further strengthened by this funding«
Christian Wild, Managing Director of ICONAG-Leittechnik GmbH
